The LEVYdance Board of Directors has announced the addition of Ravindra “Ravi" Mistri to its Board, bringing its growing governing body to 10 members.

Ravi is an entrepreneurial professional with a background in finance, private equity, venture capital and tech start-ups. He is currently Business Operations Manager at Palo Alto-based Nyansa, Inc., and a graduate of South Africa’s University of Witwatersrand and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Ravi’s colleagues know him as highly analytical and a strong leader, negotiator, and design thinker. Following five years investing in financial technology startups focused on driving financial inclusion in sub-Saharan African, Ravi returned to the Bay Area, where he continued exploring his passion for disruptive and enabling technologies at Stanford University, in particular those that have a positive socioeconomic impact in emerging markets.

"My definition of success is incomplete without service to others," he says on why he joined a nonprofit, and that's what ultimately led him to LEVYdance.

"I have always been interested in the arts broadly, in almost all forms,” he says. "Since my Stanford dSchool design-thinking project with the San Francisco Opera, I have been curious about the role and position of performance arts within a contemporary and rapidly changing society."

Beyond his professional life, Ravi's interests include sports, travel, theatre, art, and photography. “I am most content with a good coffee, a camera in my hand, and the open road in front of me,” he says.
