Thursdays from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. through August 23, 2018.

 

*No prior experience or partner necessary.

*Comfortable shoes with a suede/leather sole are recommended but not necessary. 

FUNDAMENTALS: This course will introduce the fundamental figures of tango, roles of lead and follow, the embrace, basic tango musicality, and navigation/etiquette at a milonga (a tango social dance). It is ideal for those who have never danced tango before as well as experienced dancers who are still working on putting the pieces together. It aims to prepare you to feel confident in dancing at a milonga.

TECHNIQUE & CONNECTION: These classes focus on improving the quality of our movement and communication with a partner, to better express and enjoy the music together. It is ideal for all levels of dancers and both leaders and followers. We will do solo exercises as well as exercises with a partner. 

  Veronika Kruta   Veronika fell for tango’s many charms in 2005 and has been avidly dancing since! She has spent much of this time in Buenos Aires immersing herself in the culture of the city and it's many tango clubs and training intensively with world renown instructors. In 2008 she began hosting tango events in her home community of Massachusetts and began teaching in 2010. She has been invited to teach, DJ and organize events around the United States, Canada, Europe and Argentina.
